Best chicken tenders!!!!!! Tuesday nights for trivia ...... I got the chicken tenders and a plate of beef nachos. The beef nachos came and there was plenty of good ingredients guacamole and salsa really crispy chips. But the chicken tenders were the show, very crispy large tenders with tasty coating probably panko bread crumbs. The chicken tenders are a must order they come with barbecue sauce and I believe ranch sauce and 1 other sauce I can't remember this bar/ restaurant has great entertainment from trivia to live music

How much fun is it to tell your friends to meet them at "HOME"? Pretty sure I said that joke like wayyy to many times. Anyways, my first time at HOME (haha), it was a Blackhawks night and also someone's bar mitzvah? It was a little weird to have a bunch of tweens come through the doors. So first let me say the good things: the bartenders were fast and offered good deals throughout the night like $3 Coors Light and either $3 or $5 fireball shots. Someone took my half full beer away and the bartender gave me a new one with no questions. The not so good: the service overall was terrible. We had a table of 12-15 people and I understand it's a crazy night and we were a huge party, but I've never had so many orders get messed up before. Someone in my party ordered food they never received, food orders were mixed up, the wait for the food was so long and some people in the party who ordered a lot later received their orders sooner.. I am as understanding as I can be, I understand that being understaffed or just dealing with a huge group of people can get stressful or confusing, but unfortunately that was my experience there. If I were to come back I think it'd just be for drinks.

I was planning my sisters bachelorette party and she had said that she wanted to start by have all the girls meet up at Home Bar. I had never been here before so I called 3 days in advance and asked if it would be okay if they reserved a table for 18 girls. I didn't think they would without putting a card down or buying a bottle of alcohol. We were only planning on being there for an hour and 45 minutes due to a bus picking us up. I talk to the manager and she said not a problem at all. When we got there we were surprised with two bottles of champagne and champagne glasses!!! Such as awesome start to are extremely fun night!!!

Came here for a concert. Ticket prices were fair, drink prices are average, but the venue was great. Very intimate concert & security was on top of those causing trouble! Had a great time!

Ok..the good, the bad , the ugly Good excellent BOWL size margarita for $3...big place, nice, good food, music, specials Bad & Ugly...cover price is HIGH..same bands play close by for nothing. Specials are pushed, then taken away as Errors, cannot be used on groupons not told ahead..made for a pricey night and we were not told. NEW waitress. She did a good job. BUT we way overpaid and wish we had just gone with specials, saved cert for another time, as we likely will try again..maybe

Only came here for drinks. As it is a Blackhawks bar, this is the perfect place to watch the game with a group and get some great drink deals. On a Tuesday night it was $3 u call it pints so I only paid $6 for 2 beers! Even the organ player of united center was there. The food smelled pretty good, so I'll be sure to try some next time!

Pretty decent place to see bands, could improve on the DJ area. 3.5 stars overall. Seeing bands - I've been here a number of times, all for seeing bands play, and have generally had a positive experience. I can't speak for others but having seen hundreds of shows from a variety of genres, HOME does a decent job. There is plenty of room, the sound isn't bad, they have a limited bar in the music room so you don't have to go all the way to the front, and the security has always been helpful in assisting me in getting to a good spot since I use a wheelchair. Front bar and/or DJ - The short time I've spent in the front while a DJ played has been a waste. There really isn't a dance section so it's just background music, and with most of the patrons hanging out with friends having to shout over elevated music it becomes more of an annoyance. They need to keep performers and DJs in the back entertainment room and set music in the front at a reasonable volume. It doesn't even look right with the DJ area being right next to tables and TVs. Food - Haven't eaten here, stuck to beer and alcohol. The only other place in the area I see as a competitor is Durty Nellies, which has a WAY better beer list and section for just hanging out for drinks without loud music. HOME only charges you for seeing performers if you want in the back, Nellies screws everyone over with the cover even if you have no interest in seeing whatever cover band is playing that night unless you get in early.

Went to see Saliva 11.8.2014 Doors opened 7 :30 They had 4 cover bands, before Saliva came ever came on. It was 12a.m. This is a dishonest venue. They had you buying drinks for 5.5 hours before the main event came on. All employees were great. Comfortable place. Lots of parking Reasonable drink prices. But try to get a straight answer of show times before you go. Crooked M.F.ers.

Terrible! The service was awful, the daily specials are not valid when they have live music, different bars charged different prices for the same drinks. Just terrible. Such a shame, because they could have a real hit if it was properly run.

Located in a plaza across from my old high school, it is a weird spot and from the outside it does not look like much. Walk in and your jaw will drop. It's HUGE and really cool inside. Pool tables, big screens. The back concert hall has great acoustics and not a spot in the house. You can easily see the stage from anywhere. Easy to walk in and out from the concert and go to the front if you want some food. I tried the tater skins and just by the one app with pulled pork and pico on it as well I was impressed and need to try more the next time I go. The $3 beer of the month also impressive, they had Leinie summer shanty!

This review is for the concert venue in the back room, as that was what brought me by HOME recently. Went to go see the Summerland tour, and I will be back to this venue again. The sound was excellent in quality, no matter where we were at in the venue. I've been to other places similar in nature, but there is always something a little off with the sound to where you can't hear all the nuances to the music. Many times I feel blown out and half deaf an hour into a show at lesser places - not here. The sight lines were also very good - so it was always easy to see the stage. I was also a fan of the 2 bars at either end of the area, so there was never a need to slog through a crowd to refresh a beer. And on that note, beer prices were pretty reasonable for a show - no complaints here. I will definitely want to catch some more shows here - and might even have to stop in just for a drink and some food to check out the rest of the bar.

Great food! Definitely try the Arizona roll or the chicken tenders! Teriyaki chicken tacos are also amazing Now that we've gotten the good stuff out of the way... Most of the bartenders are beyond rude and want nothing to do with you unless you're a regular I've also seen bouncers choke people out which is just ridiculous. I don't care what the person is, call the police don't harm someone.

OK food. The DJ thinks the place is a nightclub. Music obnoxiously loud. This isn't SoundBar.

  • Carol L.

Horrible food, horrible service and very expensive horrible mixed drinks. There are much better choices for food and drink in the area. The most redeeming factor of this place is the awesome entertainment they get minus the male adult nights. Some of the best music in the area can be seen here.

Called in and asked about some information before coming in. It's Saturday night; and we want to know what's true before we commit to spending a night in one place. The lady on then phone was friendly and told me there was $5 cover, $3 seasonal beer specials and no dress code. Upon arriving, we were not charged cover! but one friend of ours was "slid in" for wearing sweat pants. All is cool and then we're buying our first round of beers, and we ordered Oktoberfest. 4 beers for $20.. so we were confused about the misunderstanding. Later in the evening we were charged $3 for the same beer and when bringing it up, the bartender asked for a receipt to get a refund. Even with the scattered under-aged attendees, we felt scammed about the mis-priced "specials" ... You'd think that a well established bar/club would be well informed about their own prices and general information, especially on a Saturday night.

Don't order whiskey diets from the girl bartenders. They are terrible & have horrible attitudes. Other than that the service was good and the turkey club was delicious.

  • Nicole T.

Me and a group of friends were there recently and if I could rate this 0 stars I would. First off, one of the bartenders (female) has an inconsiderate bad attitude and tried to scam people with money to think that people stated stealing drinks or basically accuse people of having counterfeit money. Not that I know anything or say any names of people who are accused of being involved. The staff was very shady and rude. What they did to one of the people that I personally know and who I'm close with was charged for something he didn't do but what the bouncers, securities, and especically their bartenders did was very unprofessional in my book. To make it shorter: This venue needs to run the business very well and good luck in court in a couple of months. You can't win, because I'm never coming here ever again. Take your money elsewhere, because this place are full of scammers. Tough luck! :)

My wife and I were going to a supermarket near this place; and before leaving, I found a Groupon deal for lunch at HOME. So, we went. What, you think I pay full price? We arrived at maybe 11:15 am, and nothing much was going on: there was only one other table occupied. The place had several dozen TV monitors showing different sporting events. HOME consists of two rooms. The front room is mainly a sports bar/restaurant, although it does have a stage to accommodate live performers, I guess. The enormous back room is designed to accommodate 1000 people, and has a larger stage. When we were there, they were setting up for a birthday party for a one-year old baby. Who knows why? Maybe someone wanted to get the young tad familiar with the tavern scene early in life. I must admit that this is not the place to go for a gourmet experience. Most of the stuff they offer consists of bar food (not barf-food, dummies!) like burgers, sandwiches, etc. We ordered hamburgers, and they were OK, but nothing to rave over, either. The fries were pretty good in that they were not greasy at all. Almost every table has an automatic liquor/beer dispenser that measures out beverages and charges by the fluid ounce. Mrs. B thought that this was a clever trick: as the patrons get soused, the built-in beverage meter goes up, and up, and up! Each drink is posted to the patrons' checks. We had a very nice, bubbly waitress who accommodated us. Since not much was going on, we spent a while talking. She is actually a teacher of mentally handicapped schoolchildren, and she moonlights at HOME for extra income. Given her day job, she probably knew how to deal with an old senile geezer like me. She maintained that she was going to have a l-o-n-g shift: she said she arrived at 11 am, and would work until about 3 am, which is WELL after my bedtime. After eating, I went back to relieve myself in the men's room, which was very clean. Of course, I was probably the first guy who used it that morning. Oddly, the men's' room did not have a condom dispenser: joints like this typically do; or at least they did when I was younger. I took a peek into the back room where the 12 month-old guest of honor had not yet arrived. As you enter the room, there is a cardboard cutout of the principals of the 1939 Wizard of Oz movie. A few people were posing for pictures of Dorothy, the Scarecrow, et. al. I could (and will) conclude by repeating Dorothy's plaintiff utterance "There is no place like HOME."

Worst DJs I have ever encountered and good for nothing managers. Went here for a birthday party on a Saturday night and the place was dead. It didn't make sense at first because it is a nice venue, but soon everything became clear. The music sucked big time! It was heavy Trans music that nobody could dance to! As the night progressed people got drunk and wanted to danced, some tried, but it was impossible with that music! EVERYONE stood around just shaking their head. I tipped the DJ and bouncer to play ONE song for the birthday girl and it never happened. Spoke to the managers maybe 10 times and they never made it happen either. DO NOT take my money if you wont play my song. The DJs played for themselves and not for the crowd. People were running up to the stage yelling at the DJs that they sucked. We had a booth/bottle service reserved, but our party of 25 soon started to leave. Very Disappointing, I will not be back.

Maybe I'm just getting too old to go places like this (I'm in my early 30s). I went there on a Saturday to go dancing. The music wasn't supposed to start until 10. We got there at 9 so we could eat. About 9:30, here came the thump thump thump music while people were still eating. It was impossible to talk to the person across the table. It was sooo annoying. This place is also, quite clearly, a meat market. I'm no prude but the lack of clothing on these girls was just sad but whatever. The place also REEKED of cologne which I hate. But any way, my main reason to be there was to go dancing with my friend since we left the husbands at home. Buuut...the dancing sucked. There were 4 of us on the dance floor as of 11pm. Maybe it starts hopping later on but we left about 12 because everyone was just brooding by the bar and the atmosphere was not what we were looking for. I also thought the cover charge for this place was a joke. I won't be back.

LOL. I pity people who think this is a quality bar. I went there once and I needed to call my shrink because I felt depressed by the people in there. This place is filled with suburban trash. The kinds of people who A.) never went to college and still live within 5 miles of where they went to high school or B.) people that went to state a school and moved back within 5 miles of where they went to high school. I saw 3 people puke. The beer selection is... unsophisticated. They don't know how to make basic drinks. I think they put something in my drink. I woke up after having 3 drinks over a 6 hour period and almost needed to go to the hospital because I was so sick. I am still confused to why girls were wearing heels and dresses here and why there was a cover. This bar is located next to an abandoned grocery store....

A couple friends and I went here for my birthday a couple months ago and had a pretty good time. Can't comment on the show, since we were not all that interested in seeing it, but the bar area had enough to keep us entertained, with decent music and pool tables, and enough empty space to dance in. The only reason this isn't a five star review is that I wish there were a greater variety of mixed drinks. I'm a big fan of fruity drinks, and there was not a whole lot that appealed to me on the menu.

Went there for the first time to see Local H play. While the staff and facilities were great, the PA was the worst. The sound was distorted and it sounded like the band was playing in a cave. We left early it was so bad.

Excellent concert venue in Arlington Heights with awesome food, good drinks and service! Enjoy a live concert with some friends and grab some post - concert grub and drinks! The chicken strips are delicious and the sauces that come on the side compliment them perfectly! Sounds lame, but give them a try! ;)

The food made me feel nauseous, caused my friend to vomit, as well as one other patron we talked to. The waitress, when asked what a good suggestion for an entree was, suggested the most expensive item on the menu as "her favorite". It was the appetizer sampler. Nice attempt at racking up a higher tip. Not a classy place at all, but if that's you're thing, go for it.

One of the best nights of my life. Met Dave King and Eugene Hütz here. They weren't even there to perform they were just playing pool and getting faced on a Tuesday night. They were both super cool and my wife and I took some pictures with Gene. He was so friendly and really seemed to enjoy all the company and attention he was getting. Cheap drinks, pool tables, and plenty of space to move around makes coming from the city worth it.

I can't lie, I was a little hesitant ordering a veggie Chimichanga.. so it came out on a long plate sliced up like a sushi roll with two different sauces on each side... it was delicious and a great idea to do.. I heard they are all good so I recommend it!

Been to H.O.M.E. Bar twice now for Sunday football, and was impressed both times. I wish there was a little more of a crowd, but with the food and drink specials they have going, I'm sure that will happen. Tons of TV's, with most 46" Flats, and one large projection on each side of the bar. Excellent sound system, and a DJ is there during Bears games playing good music during commercials. The first time I was there they were a little late adjusting the TV's, but both times they were able to get all games set up on at least one TV, while spreading the Bears game around so no one could miss it. They have $2 pints of Miller Lite, $5 Bloody Mary's, and a $3 beer of the month. Tis month was Newcastle, which is a fantastic beer to be getting for $3 a pint !! They have $5 hand made Pizzas, which are a bit of a cross between a Pizza and a flatbread. Great flavor, and though the Italian sausage lacked a little zip, the Bacon Pizza with the Garlic pesto sauce was very good. Had a great Chicken fajita sandwich, which was a grilled chicken breast topped with peppers and chees on toasted French Bread. Unique, and very tasty. Nachos were a little burnt, but generous and fresh toppings. Quesadilla was also good, and though small the sriracha shrimp tacos were also very good and creative. Service was very friendly. Many a little too many visits due to the smaller crowd, but much preferred to the alternative. The manager came by a couple times to make sure the games were set up well and that I was happy with my visit. I've heard they cater well to the Blackhawk crowd, and I think this is a good spot that I would recommend both for food and Football viewing in the Northwest burbs.

Great place to see a band THE SOUND SYSTEM IS CRA CRAZY GOOD I saw Rusted Root and the place was PACKED FOOD WAS BETTER THEN UR AVG "bar food" A PLUS!!! Drinks are well made Fun staff And to the guy pissed off about the security I had no problem w them the last 10-20 times I've been here maybe he's still in his "I'm a bad ass" phase of his life... Keep it up HOME the burbs need you!!

I have been here before to watch UFC fights and sample the food and beer. I decided to go to HOME again to see the interim heavyweight championship fight. I arrived early and asked the greeter about the UFC fight. She checked with someone else, then told me they aren't showing any pay per view events. What? The championship fights used to bring in lots of people. I left and went to Fox & Hound. Oh well, I won't be going to HOME anymore.

I've been to H.O.M.E. twice, once on a Friday night and once on a Saturday night. Both experiences were nothing special. The bar is HUGE and is divided into two spaces: the main sports bar area and a back room with a stage for performances and dancing. The main area is really spread out. There is only one bar, which is a square shape with about four to five bar tenders inside. You would think it would be easy to get a drink, but it is not. The price for the drinks is average and they do have drink specials and a wide selection. What didn't impress me was when the bartender told me my drink was $5.50, I gave her $6.00 in cash and she never returned with my change even after I tried flagging her down. I thought it was rude to assume she was going to get a tip. Yes, I would have tipped, but that is just not a good business practice. The Friday night I was there, the back room was opened since a DJ started a set at midnight. There were some sort of glow sticks that they were handing out. My friends seemed to be enjoying themselves. Naturally, it was super loud back there and you couldn't hear anything/find anyone if they disappeared into the crowd. I also must have seen four or five people get kicked out while I was there. Even the guys I was with noticed. I'm not sure what all these people could have done to get kicked out. Be careful and watch yourself! The Saturday night I was there, the back room was closed and the front room, while huge, was super crowded. It was difficult to maneuver through people and even harder to get a drink, the whole point of a bar. There was a DJ who was playing music I enjoyed, but since the back room wasn't open there was minimal dance space in front of the DJ booth, which was surrounded by tables people had reserved. Again, it was really, really loud to the point where you could barely carry on a conversation with the person next to you. I had to pay cover both times ($5) which I think is ridiculous for a bar in the suburbs. At least it's not as bad as $7 at Durty Nelly's. My friend (girl) who arrived after midnight didn't have to pay. Another friend of mine was told he couldn't enter with the jacket he was wearing (somewhat raggedy, but not in shambles or anything) and was told he wouldn't have to pay cover if he left his coat in the car. They're weird about cover. FYI. I wouldn't ever suggest to come here, but if my friends wanted to go I wouldn't refuse. I'm headed there tonight for a 'Girls Night Out' event so we'll see how that pans out. Hopefully it will change my view for the positive.

WUB WUB WUB WUB WUB WUB WUB SCREEEEEEE WUGGA WUGGA WUGGA Sorry, didn't mean to drop the bass that early. HOME is just not my kind of place. I went to play darts with a couple of friends a while back and I knew as soon as I walked in that I was too old, too sober, and too clothed for HOME. Maybe if I was already really drunk and wanted to dance to a dubstep mashup of Call Me Maybe and Gangnam Style, I'd go back.

Suburban style fun times! We had a surprise birthday party for a friend here. We got the wristbands that covers all you can drink (top shelf) and access into the Live music for a set price (I forgot how much it was...I think something like $30 or $35 a person?). The night we were there, it was a country band, which was really fun! I'd definitely like to come again for the unlimited drinks and live music!

I've driven by this place numerous times at different times of the day and hour. Each time, the parking lot was packed with cars. Sure, there's neighboring businesses in this strip mall that HOME (House of Music & Entertainment) is located at, but before HOME existed, the parking lot was not packed at all. So, finally decided to check it out on a Saturday night. Place is pretty big. It's divided in half. First half is the usual sports bar type atmosphere. LOTS of flat screens all around, bar in the middle, booths on one side, chairs and tables the rest of the place. Near the back, they have two pool tables, a couple of dart boards and some other games. In the back was a door and past the door was the live band music, which by its own, could be a venue in itself. Another bar, booths, and a giant stage for the live band. When we were there, some band called "Maggie Speaks" was playing... never heard of em. Anywho, we ordered a bunch of appetizers -- chicken quesadillas, sliders, and they had many tacos -- about $2 each. We ordered the grill chicken, buffalo chicken, and carne asada. The tacos came with onions, cheese and cilantro. The best one was the buffalo chicken -- the soft skin was grilled to a light crisp, and the buffalo sauce packed a nice subtle punch. We also ordered the sweet potato fries, which are crinkled-style and were awesome as well. The sliders were OK; the buns were a little bit too "bready" -- I'm not a bread person in general, and it was topped with guac and cheese. It came with chips on the side. Ordered bit of wine, and the special for the night were $3 Angry Orchid Ciders, score! The bill came out to be around $60 which was not too bad, and at the time, we had a Groupon, so it settled the bill nicer for my cheap asian ass. Overall, awesome food, and the Blackhawks beat the Detroit Redwings to stay alive in the playoffs. The crowd there was pretty lively and every time the Hawks scored, everyone was cheering and playing music. DJ was decent as well. If you're looking for a decent place to go to in the burbzzz, to either eat, check out the game, or listen to live music, definitely check this place out. BATHROOM REVIEW -- the bathrooms were super clean and spacious. It has 4 stalls and a bunch of urinals. They have one of these interesting looking hand dryers -- it changes colors when activated, which is probably more aesthetic then anything else. I heard in the Womens bathroom, there was an attendant that was wiping down each and every stall down. I probably could have just eaten in the bathroom, since it was so clean. There are no TVs in there, but the bathroom had speakers hooked up to the main bar speakers, so you're surrounded by music/TV while emptying your bladder. Sit or squat? SIT!!!!

Good music venue. Great bands! Good drinks. This place is geared more toward men as the waitresses are dressed in little stripper-like outfits. However it is a fun place to see live music.

Honestly, the worst bar ever. The amount of scum that infests this "venue" is disgusting and the cover they charge is insulting. I'm usually not one to complain about cover but when your bar is that lame.... It's insulting to charge that much.

I kept driving past this place, but it was never open... now it finally did! I met up with two of my friends here to watch the UFC fights on the Saturday night before NYE. I got there a little before 9:30 PM, so I did not have to pay the $5 cover... yay! Something has always bothered me about paying cover in the suburbs! The inside of the bar is nice, they even have table tappers at the booths. Since I came a little later into the fight there were not booths available so we settled on a table near the pool tables. It seemed like more people my age were in this area. The section with the booths was a much younger just turned 21 still in college looking crowd. I think that is because the DJ was going to be setup here at 11. The drinks were pretty cheap. My well vodka mixed drinks were $5. I really want to like this place... but I felt a bit too old to be here... and I am only 26! Also, a ton of cabs line were lined up outside all night which I thought was an awesome way to deter people from driving drunk!

Very rude security / door people. Seems like they make up door charge rules as they go because they vary from group to group and certainly based on gender and appearance. Servers continue on with the rudeness. Be aware of what you order if you run a tab because they will stack drinks on. Not the place to leave your drink unattended. Be vary aware of taking a cab out of here if youre a girl. There was an abduction by a "cab" driver. Stick to Uber.

I agree with the other reviewers; this place definitely has potential and is a pretty great place, however, it's similar to a teenaged girl "trying to find herself." The place is very open with; a table area w/several TV's and table beer taps, a large bar, a pool and shuffleboard area, a large floor for standing, and a theater-stage in the back. I think there needs to be a DEFINED dance floor. It's a large open place, but a bit of area differentiation would be great. Drinks were average priced. They have a GREAT beer selection and some daily specials. I'd go back, but I'm in no hurry.

This place is pretty worth checking out. It's freaking huge. You walk in and its got a very large space with a bar some mini pool tables and video games, and seating. Some of the seating are booths completed with table taps that dispense two beers and two liquors depending where you are seated and what you ask them to turn on. The light beers as i recall were a very fair price at the tables. The other, better tasting beers are a little pricey but pretty much what i would expect from a bar. The pours are pretty weak but its a business so i guess i get it, i just wouldn't waste my cash on it unless i brought a flask to add my own. The atmosphere is pretty nice, seems to be a fairly diverse crowd. There is a back room which has got to be at least twice the size of the front area in which they have a couple more bars a large stage and some VIP seating. They have many large names that come put on shows and a wide variety of music genres. Great awesome bathrooms. Really nice waitresses and front doormen. Usually decent bartenders that i run into. Definitely worth checking out for the personal knowledge but unless you have alot of money to spend its not an every time thing

Favorite bar!!! I'd pick going here over the struggle of going downtown any night!! Doesn't matter if it's a chill Tuesday night playing pool or a raging party on a Saturday night with live music!! I've always been taken care of by the HOME Bar Staff. The owners are great & manager, Sean, is a phenomenal bartender with star quality !!the security is always on top of their game making sure safety is key. I even feel comfortable coming here with my boss who is 20 years older than me. The diversity of what HOME offers is awesome. PS LOVE the pretzel sticks and pretty much anything else on the menu!

My fiance and I saw Chevelle here a while ago, the music and sound quality was great. And all the liquor is priced relatively fair. The place doesn't look big from the outside, but it actually has a lot to offer. The first room looks like a restaurant.. we will be returning the try their food sometime! Something really needs to be done about the "Security" at the place. Several times during the night large men pushed my fiance and me aside for no reason. They shine their flashlights in your face to get your out of their way? and say nothing in the process. Now I realized when there is a huge mosh pit going on, they need to get to these crazy people in a hurry, but stomping on feet and shoving people is not the appropriate way to handle that situation, these men are poorly trained. We arrived late to the show, and while walking in no one bothered to check the Chevelle tickets. I was asked for an ID, but why bother purchasing $40 tickets when people were probably just sneaking in anyway? Overall I liked the atmosphere (minus the security) and will totally return to see some good music :]

There's two side of this place. First side is a sports bar. Dj plays top 40 hits. Sometimes there's a go go dancer dancing on the bar (weird). Second part of the bar is a club. The song they play depends on the night. Check out their website if they have cool band playing. They sometimes have dj like Dj flipside, live bands, and promotion going on. I've been here when Dj Lupe Fiasco performed, a nice rock band was jamming, and a live 90's band singing songs like TLC: Vanilla Ice's Ice Ice baby, baby got back & etc... Also, I've been here while promoting Bacardi, the workers are really nice to us, and they're also hot!!! They serve food tacos & wings I think??? I've never tried their food, so I can't rate it for you. Drinks wise too expensive! You better pregame beforehands.

For being a "music venue" they really do need to get their act together. I saw two bands yesterday, the first band did a sound check for no less than 15 minutes and the second band had to take a break because you could hear the singer only every few minutes or so. I felt bad for the singer, he was SO angry at the sound people. So, lost a few stars there. The place was HUGE, really nothing special, though.

So this past Saturday one of my best friends decided to have everyone meet at this bar for her birthday. I'm originally from the norridge/nwside of Chicago area but moved out to wheeling so all my friends live out there but I was excited we were actually going out near my house. Now I have driven past this place before on multiple occasions but have never seen the parking lot sooooooo packed as it was that night. We had to drive up and down the aisles to find a spot at the back of the lot so I got crabby. I had lost any good expectations just because I froze my butt off walking from the car. Of course my friends and I (all around 30 years old) walked in and were extremely relieved to see people of all ages because I'm not gonna lie in the parking lot all we saw were a bunch of newbies. The birthday girl was super late so we got a quick drink and talked to the staff who were very accommodating. They gave us some options which included the "home theatre" which was $7 or a very nice booth up in front by the soon to be dance floor. At first the man who was explaining everything said we could buy a bottle for $150 and have the table all night but when we looked a little bummed he quickly offered that we could just do a tab and spend at least that much. That was perfect for us because there were a lot of us and at around $7 a drink there would be no problem! We had a super sweet waitress Caroline, she was quick with the drinks and always attentive. I could see that around the bar it was PACKED so I was really glad we chose the booth option. I thought the DJ was great and the atmosphere was friendly and fun. I have bartended for years so I'm really picky about drinks and bars in general but I will say I had a great night! I will definitely return and hopefully next time check out a band in the back!

A good beer selection and an excellent addition to the entertainment scene in the Northwest Suburbs. It was great to see the Gin Blossoms at a smaller venue. It surprisingly wasn't sold out and to be able to get within about ten feet of the stage was amazing.

Great weekend getaway if i want to dance til i drop and have a great night with friends. Literally spent the entire weekend there for my birthday!! I was a little wary at first but the venue is huge, i never felt claustrophobic and people watching is a bonus. House dj is wonderful and kept me on my feet til i was forced to leave. I love this place and am happy to have discovered it. I will be going back as often as i can to let loose and unwind

Once again HOME bar delivers an outstanding service. Last night I hosted a birthday party with 18 guests during a very crowded and busy Bears/Packers game; I prearranged food and reserved tables through Danielle, the Event Coordinator...she is so easy going and got exactly what we needed communicated to the staff and accomplished. Our waitress was the same we had for the bags tournament a few weeks ago and was fantastic! Every time I got up from the table, she was right there asking how things were going. Everyone was very pleased with her service. Food was great; I even messed up about what time I thought food was coming out and what our pre-written agreement timing was and HOME bar Mgmt handled my confusion great and put in a last minute rush which they didn't HAVE to do. Great place to hold a part and to watch your favorite teams ~ TV's EVERYWHERE, there isn't a bad seat/booth/table in the place. Prices great, Food great, Management very easy to work with and very accommodating! I can't recommend this place enough!!!

I stopped in for the craft beer selection and I wasn't disappointed. They have a nice selection of beers, and some tasty appetizers to go along side. The bartender was friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. I'll definitely be back.

The first couple of times I came here, it was fun but now it is a place my friends and I go once in awhile hoping things have changed and it has not. First of all, why the heck do we have to pay a cover charge? It seems that every weekend, some "DJ" is playing and the customers have to pay $5 just to get in and have a drink. It just seems like the owners LOVE to extort their customers to pay off their own fines. Then there are the bouncers. The people the club pays to keep order in the place. They run around and have an earpiece in their ear and pretending they are protecting a president. They are also just plain rude to the customers. I forgot my phone in the car once and told a bouncer I needed to go back to my car. He raises his arms and says why do I need to go outside in a rude manner. They just need to be laid back and treat customers the right way. Overall, I feel like the owner just does not care about his customers and is only in it for himself. With just a tiny bit of improvement, I could see this place turnaround and hopefully they won't have to call Bar Rescue.

First learned of this place through someone who used to bartend at drink nightclub in Schaumburg who now works here. When I heard it was in Arlington Heights and that it was a "club," I sort of laughed to myself. A nightclub in the suburbs is few and far between. It wasn't until a couple months later that I decided to give this place a try, when a friend invited me to come out. I agreed on the condition that I wouldn't have to pay cover. I checked out photos online beforehand, something I always do before going to a new bar. Place looked spacious and clean, but not nearly as big as it really is. Had no idea there is a whole separate events room in the back. The night before we went Twista performed there! I don't know about all of you, but Twista is the shiznit! I remember listening to him in high school. I don't know any rapper who is lyrically as quick as he is. Anyway, I thought that was a big deal. I called to ask about the cover and the girl who I spoke with said they normally don't charge unless an event is going on. That night, a UFC fight was on tv, so they were charging $5, but only after 9:30. We met up with a few friends when we arrived and sat at a small table near the pool tables. Our other friends were sitting at a booth with not one, not two, but four taps at each booth! And I've only seen beer taps at table tops, never liquor taps, but they had those! So Co, Jack Daniels and two beer taps were at our friends' booth. Our waitress at the small table by the pool tables was really sweet & attentive. She checked on us regularly and had a few conversations with us. We wanted to move and go sit with our other friends at the booth, but they had a different waitress (who they said was awful, btw; didn't even know what Leinenkugel was or that it was a beer!). We told our server we wanted to keep her and asked if she could transfer over to the booth. She spoke to the other ditzy waitress, who replied that she didn't have many tables at that point, so we decided to stay put until we were done with a round of drinks and appetizer. The combo appetizer plate was delish! Totally better than your typical combo platter. It had stuffed potato skins that were more like stuffed mini potatoes with pulled pork in them. The food quality was really good and I really want to go back for lunch or dinner. There was enough food for three of us, plus leftover food. I ordered a somewhat complicated beer and our server accidentally brought me the wrong one. I didn't even realize it until I was 3/4 of the way finished, but no big deal because she was so cool, I didn't mind at all. She comped my next beer, a Dogfish Head Indian Brown Ale. Beer selection is pretty damn good considering the type of bar it is. They have a few microbrew/craft beers, which made me very happy because that is usually what I order. Prices are pretty good, too. A mixed drink was only $5, I believe. Later after the fight, they clear some of the tables in the seating area where the table taps are. There is a little stage where a DJ spun. I was hesitant to dance. I usually only dance when there are a good amount of others dancing, which eventually happened as the night went on. The place filled up pretty quickly. There were some pretty good dancers, some plain good, some plain funny and no more than that. A very fun & entertaining night, I must say. Sean (who we know from drink) is a very entertaining and quick bartender. He knows what he's doing so order all your drinks from him! A fight just about broke out towards the end of the night, but was broken apart quickly. At the very end of the night, I'd say around 2:30 or 3:00, the servers get on platforms and the bar top and pour flavored liquor into your mouth, and it's free! Probably very weak liquor, but still awesome! All you gotta do is walk up to them and open your mouth. I am definitely planning on returning, whether it's just to eat or for another fun night. My friend went here for New Years Eve and said it was insane fun.

Amazing bar for the suburbs...Can't find anything like this unless you drive to the city. Huge beer selection and so many TVs. On the Weekends they always have something going on, whether its a DJ or live band. I saw 7th Heaven in their theater and the sound was amazing. It's the best of both worlds for friends who are into a little bit of everything. Sports, dancing, pool tables, dart boards, buck hunter. And their menu has a little bit for everyone. Pizza, burgers, tacos, wings, salads. I definitely will be back.

I heard about this place and was interested in checking it out during its quieter moments so I went there for lunch. (I'm sure I'll return later when the music is thumping or a live music show is going on.) But this time I just went to see the place and have some food. I went with a friend and he ordered the club sandwich, I ordered the pulled pork. The bartender said it's like "pulled pork sushi" meaning how they cut it and serve it. (I uploaded a picture). The pork was delicious. It was very tender and wrapped in a pastry with just enough barbeque sauce to add that flavor. It was plenty of food but I wanted to try their desserts. The bartender (who was waiting the two tables that were occupied because the regular waitress was ill) said they don't have desserts yet. I said, "Well how about coffee." He said the coffee machine broke. No big deal. In general the dining experience was great. The music was well-balanced in the background. It wasn't hard to carry on a conversation or hear the music. At the other table were two couples with a baby that slept the whole meal. So I walked around the place and snapped pictures (I uploaded them) and in general I was very surprised and impressed by the upscale look of the place. Much like you'd expect in a Chicago dance club. It's definitely not intended simply for drunken kids who don't care about anything except loud music and flowing liquor. This is a well laid out venue for watching sports on their unlimited TVs or listening to music (DJ in the front by the dining tables) and live music in the back in the room that they call the Home Theater. There is one bar in the front, fully stocked, and two in the Home Theater. The Home Theater is intended for standing crowds, though there are booths that can be reserved in the back of the room and a VIP section that has spending minimums. If you are staying away because you think it's a kid's hangout, it might be when it gets busy, but as nice as the place is, I don't care if there are a lot of young people there enjoying the music with me, I'm going back.

I will start off by saying that if I could give negative stars this place would have them all. Been here a few times and the service gets worse and worse. Last time I went there, waited by the hostess booth and by a table and no service for over 45 mins. I will never go back. If you're paying take your money where it's appreciated. Hire new staff or train them properly.

This place is amazing...I recently threw a party here and went through their Event Coordinator who was super easy to work with and very accommodating. Everything was great from the service to the food to the live music (gotta love Mike and Joe!). Everyone who came said they had a blast and wanted to go back. Definitely had a blast for my birthday!

As others have said, there are many sides to H.O.M.E. which makes reviewing such an establishment difficult. It's part-time music club, but I have never been here to see live music. It's part-time night club, but I have never had the opportunity to be here at those hours. They bill themselves as a sports bar, but haven't really checked out a lot of sports on the different screens. What I come here for is the F.O.O.D., because the kitchen produces such great quality and variety, it cannot be compared to bar food. All of the sandwiches that I have had are several notches above what you would find elsewhere. While they don't have an extensive entre menu, if you are interested in an entirely new taste experience, you have to try the Home Rolls, which are phenomenal. Add to the great food, is an excellent selection of craft beers and there is no question why I visit here often.

If you want a good pub in the area, this is definitely an option. It has a very 'downtown' sports bar feel on a Saturday night. It's open till really late, which is so unlike the burbs (Thank you HOME!).The music in the sports bar section is hip-hop and the veggie food is great with a lot of options. Their main menu is open till 11 pm which is a good hour if you get hungry later, although they have a pretty decent late night menu till 2 am. For those women who are OCD about the bathrooms, this one's really clean and even has a washroom attendant, so make sure you carry a dollar when you go in (never seen one in the burbs!). We've been there with a few friends and have always enjoyed ourselves. The inner room is a HUGE dance floor! Didn't know they had so much space! My only complaint is that there weren't too many people for 'Retro-night'. There were a handful of people dancing and a few others sitting around. Makes it such a waste of such a large room! I'll just wait for a trance or hip-hop night to comment more on this.

Very disappointing! Claim to serve $1 Labatz during Blackhawks games. Went there Friday night for the game lots of empty tables and out of $1beers before the 1st period was over. Waited for 20 minutes before a waitress took our order, took another 20 mins. to get the drinks then another 20 to get our change. Wait staff dress in skimpy dresses and look like customers. Want to say again it was not that crowded! Not sure which was worst the bait and switch with the beer or the slow service. Upside you won't have to worry about have one to many

OK - I'll give the place four stars as the burbs haven't seen a nightclub such as this in quite some time. That said, my visit was on the second day of the place being open and there are quite a few kinks that need to be worked out. Capacity is around 1,500 - about 1,000 in the back where the stage is and around 500 in the front where there's a DJ, a few pool tables and a good sized bar. I was told that food service at the soft opening on Friday night was a little slow - on the 2nd day it was almost too fast. Ordered a pepper cheese burger and it was out about a minute (seriously) later - almost a sign of par cooking. I ordered it medium rare and it was mostly rare - OK by me, but the plate came out w/o any garnishes - only the steak fries which were decent. The bartender retrieved the "outstanding attributes" for me. Can't speak for the ladies room, but the men's room is a little tiny - currently 4 stalls plus 3 "stand-ups" with a 4th "phantom" spot that doesn't have a urinal in it. Valet came around 11PM and was really good - though the bathroom is a little small for him to work the place. Drink prices are reasonable. The place has atmosphere but lacks identity/personality at this time - maybe that will come at some point. Age range was from 21-61 - since I'm at the higher end of that spectrum, it was fine with me - again at some point the clientele will become more pronounced as time passes. It was easy to tell that most of the employees had not had much training - all of them put their best foot forward, but knowledge and consistency is lacking so far. One thing that disturbed me was seeing a rack of glassware being set out for use and in two instances there were glasses that came out of the DW that were stacked ON TOP of each other - in other words, the top glass could not have been cleaned properly. Also appears that most waitresses there have never held a food or cocktail tray - mots were "two-handing" them. As clubbing in the burbs goes, this place is top shelf right now - but compared to some of the clubs that were around several years back, it lacks the pizazz that those places had; like most clubs today it solely depends on TV monitors and loud music to entertain people.

I love H.O.M.E. From the service, to the bartenders and the music this is a one of a kind place. They always have a range of artists playing keeping up with the young crowd while still keeping the interests of older people. Every time I go to H.O.M.E. I always see and make new friends. Definitely go on Saturdays. It's the best night.

Food is good enough to check out. They have an interesting menu that you can easily find something you'd like. The rolls are usually very good. Nice specials that can help keep your tab Low. It's also great for sports games. Fridays and Saturdays, when they over staff their security, is when the place goes down hill. They're just terrible people. I'd rather go to Gatsbys and not deal with the drama they cause. If you happen to be reading this, you'll be alright man. You work at a bar. Try to disprove all the people hating on you guys.

Love this place. I just had my birthday here the other night and it was a blast. Ambiance is great, there's a pool table and arcade feel inside. Dj's on fridays. GREAT MUSIC!!! love the tables with table tappers. Staff was great and friendly. The only problem I had was i had reserved a table for 25 + more and had purchased two bottle services. I negotiated that if i got the second bottle they would NOT CHARGE my incomming guest's covers at the door. My server guaranteed this for me and so i got the bottle and each bottle was atleast 175 each. My guests comes and they were still charged. Bouncer upfront said I ONLY GET 10 GUESTS IN FOR FREE. ( which isnt even equal to a $175 bottle) so BOO!! I felt somewhat tricked, and maybe there was a lack of communication, But they definately did not communicate this properly with me. But overall, I still had a good time. :)

I bought the livingsocial deal to see candlebox here. first, i get conflicting times the show is to start. then it turns out there's 2 opening acts... ok, small venue how long can that go on? we'll have din/drinks and go to the show. this venue is great for cheap, strong drinks on special and good, extensive beer list. food... eh, it's bar food.. anyone can work a deep fryer and a grill. nothing spectacular. they do give you a heaping mound of tasty steak fries though. highlight of the meal i guess. onto the show. easy to get in, they stamp your hand so you can go back into the main bar area and get back into the concert area. thank god for that... bar area is great for watching sports, many big tv's. quick bartenders. just watch bumping elbows with the bar hags and greasy dudes over 50 trying to relive their frat days. now, i came to see candlebox. so did the mass crowd of 30/40/50+ year olds. what do we get? 3 hours of 2 shitty, local, no-name opening acts. candlebox didn't go on until 10:45. played their "new" songs and only one "classic". i left after an hour. nice marketing ploy to get people to hang at your bar and spend money waiting for the main show. fool me once, shame on you... needless to say i doubt i'll be back.

Great venue! Burbs really needs a place like this. Clean, spacious and very nice space. Can't wait to see who they book! Saw Thunder from Down Under on the 8th and my first time to the venue. Show was okay, but was wowed by the venue. Bar tenders very nice, couldn't tell who were the servers or bar staff. It's new so I am sure they will continue to refine their process, but overall loved the space!

Not a bad place for a suburban bar. It's spacious with pool tables, two huge bars, a separate stage room where bands perform and the decor is modern. I like "saloon" dive bars sometimes with some throwback music, but i love my techno and electro and more upscale places...this place is definitely a little more upscale than you usual dive bar. It feels like it's trying too hard for the burbs. The suburban rich snobby kids who think they are all that...classic. It reminds me of Barleycorn only with more tools and wannabes. Besides the top 40 garbage, and cover charge, I like this place. The bouncers are cool and the bartenders are friendly. Hey anything for better tips right?

Oh, my. I went there to see a friend's band one night and it was crazzzzy. The ambulance came quite a few times. Saw a girl lying unconscious in the front of the building with her breast exposed as her shirt had fallen down when she fell. Ayayay. There were about 5 cops standing there doing nothing. Would only go back if someone I wanted to see was performing there.

Impressive looking place although the waitresses are dressed way to sleazy. Pretty big but that is mostly because it in a huge non-desriptive strip mall that has had trouble getting tennants. I highly doubt tis place will be around in a couple of years.

Loved everything bout it!! The whole inside setup is great. Drinks r fairly cheap....as long as u don't get beer. Cuz beer was over priced... They have separate areas for just hanging out and sitting to drink and also another area where u can dance. There r bars set up all over the place. The bathrooms r nice and clean. The crowd seems a lil young but nothing to major. Arlington heights needed a place like this!!! This town been dead long enough lol the only downside to it is that u have to pay a cover... A hefty $10....which is the reason y I gave it 4 stars.... I think for being open for a lil over a month charging a cover is a bad idea if u want people to keep coming back.....

The place is super sketchy. At first it was fun but I've heard from several people that there GUY friends have been getting drugged there. Leaving the bar incomprehensive and in dangerous state of mind. The "security" has NO IDEA what they are doing. They need to go take a class at Harper or something on being a bouncer actually on just being a GOOD HUMAN-BEING!. I know one bouncer that choked my friend (for defending his friend against there PSYCHOTIC bouncers) so badly he became unconscious for several minutes. He couldn't eat, drink or talk the next day. Don't you people have actual problems to worry about, its pathetic. Congrats on your great rep, your ruining it for yourselves. I get bouncers want to be tough but these guys are looking for fights. They need to get themselves in check or bouncer will end up killing someone. Also the crowd is AWFUL, bunch of fake people who you too afraid to talk shit to your face. DON'T RECOMMEND IT, not worth a penny. Go to Gatsby's its right down the street.

What a great opportunity this bar has to be great. first of all, the main bar is great, with lot os tvs for sports and what not. and just so you know. more than half of people who watch sports are female, this bar is geared more toward men, the bar tenders are all girls, and they wear these stupid lacy tights with no pants on and tight t shirts, that is fine for the men folk, but what bout some eye candy for us female sports watchers? also, if you are a girl, you have to wait so long to be served, i guess they are too busy showing off their flabby asses in their lacy tights to the men for tips. (one had a hole and a run on her left butt cheek. disgusting, that i had to look at all night) the music room rocks tho, and there are no tables so you have stand while the band is playing. which can be good if the band rocks like Hi infidelity. please stop thinking that you are hooters, and be a fun sports bar with great music and good food!

Never been here before, stopped by this Saturday night. Place wasn't crowded, walked up to the bar. Plenty of gaps between groups so we're not talking very crowded. Pulled out my debit card and watched the four bartenders serve other people. Waited....waited.....waited.....waited.....waited......not a single bartender made eye contact, motioned that they were busy but acknowledged we were there.. nothing. The only bartender right in front of us almost purposefully avoiding eye contact. Finally gave up and walked out without spending a dime. Was planning on purchasing 2 long islands (the first of what would have been many), and staying for the long haul. Instead I'm back at home writing this review. Usually I give businesses the benefit of the doubt but I have never been completely ignored, anywhere. Not interested in ever coming here again, was large and suburban, in a strip mall, the kind of place where everyone drives home drunk. K whateva.

We saw the band Mike and Joe here last night and it was a first for the band and the club. They were both exceptional. There is the biggest room I've ever seen in the back of this place that holds venues. HUGE. And done really tastefully with seating all around the edges where you can either sit or stand on the booth-like seats and are encouraged to dance and have a good time. The crowd was respectful and all were having an absolute blast. The staff were super friendly and on their game for a packed house. The inside is very decieving from the outside. It's in a plaza but it gets larger the deeper the farther you go in. Plenty of room. On a Saturday night they were packed but you can still get to where you need to go comfortably. Drinks were about $5 each for Corona. I came here with my wife of 20 years and had a great time. If you're single, I would definitely call this the place where everybody's at. I think they've come as close as you can to having a classy club that's affordable, friendly, safe and still a strong element of rockin' spontaneous good times. Go have some fun.
